The local village of Pietralunga is only 10 minutes drive away...here you will find shops for your day-to-day needs and a few rustic, but delicious, restaurants and two wonderful truffle "factories"!

Very nice to make snacks together in the kitchen. We had Simonetta cook one evening. Top! Delicious. Fantastic, sweet woman. We have eaten in Gubbio (www.tavernadellupo.it) and Montone (www.ilcapitano.it) and enjoyed these super beautiful villages. We did a wine tasting in Umbertide at Blasi Bertanzi (www.cantineblasi.it) cozy, fun and delicious snacks."

"It was a fantastic holiday. The house is great, very quiet. We loved it so much that we ate almost everyday at home. There is very good supermarket in Pietralunga. Great that the water of the pool is heated by solar panels, so we could swim! James, the owner helped very much with all the information that he sent about the house and the area. It will not be the last time for us in Umbria."
